About me

Sophia Mosol was born and bred in the East End of London.
Whilst completing a foundation diploma at Byamshaw at Central St Martins, when painting from photographs- it struck her that she preferred the photos and the process that went behind making the picture, more than the actual painting itself.

The relationship between art and photography is something Sophia constantly draws upon when creating images. This, along with issues of identity, family and the home are the driving influences and inspiration behind her work.
Sophia is currently in her final year studying at Farnham, University College for the Creative arts.
